Tanzania is one of Africa's most beautiful countries. Located near the Indian Ocean and featuring several impressive nature reserves, it has a special charm. Below, we have collected some tourist and travel information for your visit to Tanzania:
Northern Tanzania can best be reached from Europe via Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO / KIA). KLM offers flights from Amsterdam. KIA is located just 30 kilometers away from our Center, which can easily be reached via the higway leading from Moshi to Arusha. We are also happy to pick up our guests at the airport at cost price. KLM also offers multi-city flights (Arrival at KIA / JRO, departure from Dar es Salaam).
Alternatively, Condor flies from Frankfurt am Main and Ethiopian Airlines flies via Adis Abeba to Tanzania. Ethiopian Airlines is generally the least expensive airline.
A further option is to fly to Nairobi, Kenya. This option is cheaper, but significantly more time-consuming. If you choose this alternative, we recommend staying overnight in Nairobi. Furthermore, Europeans travelling in Kenya must pay for a visa. Buses travel between the Kenyan capital city and Arusha in about 5 hours (one-way). This option is generally suitable for guests who have more time, who are travelling without children, and who are are used to travelling and staying in Africa.
KIA / JRO Airport also offers the option of flying to Zanzibar - a fast and easy way to experience more unforgettable moments on a beautiful island.
Tanzania offers perhaps the most impressive spectrum of wildlife in Africa. We recommend booking a safari trip locally. This can usually be easily taken care of, and is less expensive than booking the trip from Europe. We can help you with contacts to Safari companies. The current price for a safari starts at around 350 USD per day and person.
